Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 3, 2026
Framing Coach does not collect, store or share your personal information. The camera, your photos, your location (only if you allow it) and all image analysis stay on your iPhone.
About this policy
This policy explains how the Framing Coach app for iPhone (“the app”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use it. By using the app you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
We do not collect any personal information. The app has no accounts or sign-in, and it does not send your photos, your location or any other information about you to our servers or to anyone else.
The app does not use advertising, does not track you across other apps or websites, and does not include third-party analytics or advertising tools.
Camera
The app asks for permission to use your iPhone’s camera so it can show the live viewfinder and capture photos. Camera images are processed on your device. Features such as composition guides, the live histogram, tap to focus, exposure control, and lens selection and zoom all run on your device.
Photos
When you capture a photo, the app saves it to your photo library, including RAW or Apple ProRAW files on supported devices. The app asks for your permission to do this. Your photos remain on your device and in your own iCloud account if you have iCloud Photos turned on. We never receive copies of them.
Aesthetic score and image analysis
The aesthetic score is an automated assessment of your scene that is calculated on your device. Your images are not uploaded for this purpose, and we do not keep the results.
Capture authenticity information
The app can record authenticity information for photographs it captures. This information is attached to the photo on your device. We do not receive it. If you share a photo, the authenticity information and other photo metadata that travel with the file, including its location if you allowed location use, may be visible to the people or services you share it with. You decide when and with whom to share your photos, and the Photos app lets you choose whether to include location when you share.
Location
When you first use the app, it asks for your permission to use your location. This is optional.
- If you allow it, the app adds your GPS location to the photos you capture, as part of each photo’s metadata. That information is stored only with the photo on your device.
- If you decline, no location information is recorded or stored with your photos.
Your location is never sent to us or to any third party by the app. You can change your choice at any time in iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > Framing Coach. Photos you captured earlier keep the location information they were saved with, unless you remove it using the Photos app.
Sharing of information
Because we do not collect personal information, we do not sell, rent, trade or disclose it to third parties.
Your choices and controls
- You can turn camera, photo library or location access on or off at any time in iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security (or Settings > Framing Coach). The app’s camera features need camera access to work, and saving photos needs photo library access. Location access is optional.
- You can delete any photo you took from your photo library at any time using the Photos app.
- Deleting the app removes it and its settings from your device.
Data retention and deletion
We do not hold any of your personal data, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete on our side. The photos you take belong to you and remain under your control on your device.
Children’s privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles information, for example by adding a feature that works differently, we will update this policy and the effective date above. We encourage you to review it from time to time.
